[OOC]
Dice roll summary:
Whutaguy/Skipito (Deliverator): 40 = 10
Arvo/Toru (Driver): 15 = 6
Zipdrive/Kitaro (Chef): 04 = 10
Lorthyne/Bozuko (Spotter): 10 = 7
Wroe/Rin (Navigator): 52 = 7 (we'll use my timestamp roll)
It occurs to me that I created this Forum for the purpose of using it for multiple PBP games, but Ninja Burger has been eating it all up. The two recent non-NB posts have reminded me of its original purpose. Since we are nearing the end of a plot arc, I will be putting this PBP on hiatus after episode 30, next week. I will come back to it in the future, but for a time I will be focusing my efforts on finishing some game design projects.

The power of their ancestors flowing through them, Kitaro and Skipito each call upon inner reservoirs of strength and honor as the world slows down, fries tumbling through the air. Kitaro [10 +2 Cook +2 Being Ninja = 14] manages to whip out his cutting board, catch the food, and garnish it with a snip of rosemary and sage, presenting it to the customer on bended knee. Somehow he manages to work a lit candle in there somewhere.
Yet even for all his presentation, the customer opens his mouth to complain. Luckily, Skipito channels his ancestors and displays ninja humility. His attitude and mannerisms convince the customer that these ninja do truly care about his well-being, and he refrains from complaint. The delivery is a success.
Escape, however, will be another matter.
Bozuko tosses the captive pirate into the back of the van and ties him up just as Kitaro and Skipito leap from the window to the top, clambering into the hatch on top. Everyone aboard, Toru puts it in gear and pulls away, jumping a curb to avoid some fallen fire escape and heading down the street [6 + 2 = 8]. "What's the best way out of here?" he asks Rin.
As he speaks, alarms go off in the van. Several police cars have pulled in behind, and are in pursuit. If you can shake them, you can escape and return to headquarters unscathed and uncaptured. If they capture you, you'll all be thrown in prison.
Feeling that this is a moment of crisis, you find yourselves regaining your strength. The previous scene has ended, and everyone is back to full Quality strength. You'll need to call on every ounce of ninja ingenuity to get out of this one.
[OOC]
In either case, it'll give us a chance to put things on hiatus for a while

Bozo clambers back into his seat and fires up his equipment.
"What we could really use right about now is a bunch of jumbo-sized caltrops. That'd really blow the wind out of their sai-- er, tires..."
Bozo gently elbows Kitaro-san, glancing at him with the smug look of one who knows that he has deflated (ooh, again!) a close comrade's pride.
"Does this thing have an oil slick?"
[OOC]
Sorry, I couldn't resist.

"Toru-san, turn up the narrowest alley you can fit this van through. Chum here (pointing to pirate) will, heh heh, walk the plank. The police will stop to avoid getting this odor on their cars."
Skipito drags the pirate to the back door and awaits the signal at which point excess baggage will be jetisoned.
"Alley right...." Scanning over the maps quickly and doing some calculating in her head Rin comes up completely balnk.
"I think that we may just be out of luck as far as that one is concerned. The narrowist street around here that I can find on the map is Pearly street. That would make it a right turn on Duboce, go for to blocks then turn right again onto Pearl. There should be an alley way that spilts off of there that we could fit in."
Gathering his wits, and feeling suddenly reinvigorated, Toru stomps on the gas, making a clutch-burning high speed launch.
Following Rin's Ninja navigation (hopefully along the lines of "Next Right!! Next Right!!"), Toru weaves, dodges, and attempts to mislead any pursuers [Zen driver +4].
Posting for timestamp.
